Watkinsville, GA - Mildred O. Williams, 90, died at Athens Regional Medical Center on Thursday, October 28, 2010 after a brief illness.
A lifelong Oconee County resident, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Annie Laura Osborn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Byron Williams, Jr. and brother, Col. David A. Osborn.
Her love of league bowling, cards, and playing by ear on her baby grand piano/organ will always be remembered.
She is survived by three sons, John David (Martha), Bob (Betty Jo), and Chuck (Beth) Williams, all of Watkinsville. She is also survived by several grandchildren, Cade (Mindy), Erin, Tiffany, and Tony Williams; Christie Thompson, Joe (Casey), and Cody Callaway; great grandchildren, Anna and Brandon Williams, Chase Thompson, Jillian and Dakota Callaway along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Antioch Christian Church. Private interment will be held Saturday afternoon.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Honorary pallbearers are her Sunday School Class, The Leadership Class at Antioch Christian Church.
Flowers are optional. Memorial donations may be made to Antioch Christian Church Music Program.
