Michael James Veal, 57, died February 22, 2010.
Mr. Veal was born in Washington, DC and lived in Elberton, GA for many years with his parents, Jack and Irene Veal. His father operated Elberton Chevrolet and his mother owned and operated Veal's Fashions. After working in the granite industry in Elberton for several years, Mr. Veal moved to Athens where he was employed with Landmark Dodge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Brian Veal.
Funeral services will be Sunday, February 28, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Interment will be in Elmhurst Cemetery, Elberton.
Survivors include his former wife, Deb Veal-Hoover of Dallas, GA; many cousins, aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
