Michael Angelo Vardas Sr.

Michael Angelo Vardas Sr., 85, of Greensboro, died Sunday, June 9, 2019. Michael was born in 1934 in Columbia S.C. to the late Nicolaos Fanouris Vardakis and Lillian Wallace Vardakis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Christopher L. Vardas. Michael is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen Faye Stephenson, children, Michael A. Vardas Jr. (Lori) and Traci K. White (Steve), and grandchildren, Chris Vardas, Matt Vardas, Jessie Haas, Brandon White, and Austin White.

Michael was an avid gardener, loved refereeing sports, golfing, spending time with his grandchildren at the lake, and travelling with his wife. He was a man of deep faith in God and served faithfully in church throughout his entire life.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Greensboro, GA.
