A native of Athens, GA, he was a son of Ray and Barbara Self of Winterville.
Graveside services will be Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Athens Memory Gardens with Rev. Buford Lockman officiating.
Survivors in addition to his parents include two sisters, Mollie Self of Winterville and Melanie (Derrick) Lyle of Watkinsville; grandmother, Louelle Butler; two aunts, Pat (Don) Saye and Mary Jane Wood; two uncles, Vernon Self and Bill (Olivia) Self, all of Athens; niece, Morgan Lyle; nephew, Josh Lyle.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
