Athens - Michael John Lasitter, 55, died January 17, 2006.
A native of Brooksville, FL, he was a son of Thomas Lasitter of Jacksonville, FL and the late Hazel Bean Lasitter. Mr. Lasitter was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Barbara Ellen Hull Lasitter and was a veteran of the United States Army and the United States Air Force.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 21, 2006, at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Brooksville, FL. Interment will be in Lake Lindsey Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville, FL.
Survivors in addition to his father include five children, Rebecca L. (Patrick S.) Hager of Midway, GA, Michelle Lasitter, Amy Lasitter, Michael Lasitter, and Jeffrey (Dorann M.) Lasitter, all of Athens; sister, Mary Ann Lee of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Bill Lasitter of Jacksonville, FL; grandchild, Ambree Blake Lasitter; a number of nieces and nephews.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of local arrangements.
