Winterville - Melvin Wesley Beasley, 62, died Monday, May 4, 2009.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at 11AM at the Chapel of Lord & Stephens East with Rev. Mike Sarna and Chaplin Melissa Hamlin officiating. Burial will follow at Winterville Cemetery.
Born in Bibb County, he was the son of the late David Robert Beasley and Oree Rosser Beasley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Darren Wesley Beasley.
Melvin is survived by daughters; Wendy Kent of Tallahassee, FL, Cindy Borders and son-in-law Tommy of Crawford; son and daughter-in-law: Brian and Lisa Beasley of Danielsville; eight grandchildren: Jared, Leah and Branden Kent, Cara, Cody and Coley Borders, Hunter and Madison Beasley; long time companion: Martha Maloch of Winterville; great grandson: Kaleb Howington; brothers: Pete Beasley of Alexandria, LA, Murray Beasley of Athens; sister: Diane Baughcum of Ila.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2009 from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Vista Care Hospice, 150 Ben Burton Road, Bogart, GA 30622
