Maxine H. Rogers

October 4, 1930 — March 21, 2017

Maxine H. Rogers, 86, wife of Cliff Rogers, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017. A native of Rabun County, she was the daughter of the late Walter C. Hollifeld and Annie Smith Hollifeld. She graduated from Rabun Gap Nacoochee School and worked at K-Mart until her retirement. She was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church for 47 years where she was a Sunday School Teacher in the children's department, member of the Spirit Sunday School Class, member of the choir and was involved in Precepts Bible Study.
In addition to her husband, survivors include three children: Janice (Mike) Alexander of Monroe, David (Kathy) Rogers of Douglasville, Danny (Carolyn) Rogers of Watkinsville; sister: Zephene Foster of Toccoa; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 2PM at Mars Hill Baptist Church with Revs. Charles Jones and Sean Nix officiating. Interment will follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the funeral home.
Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to Mars Hill Baptist Church Debt Reduction Fund.
