Mattie Lou (Nix) Ogle

Mattie Lou Nix Ogle, born December 7, 1922, in Jackson County to the late Milledge C. and Anner Tanner Nix.
Funeral Services will be held at Lord & Stephens, East 3:00pm, Tuesday November 12, 2013, with burial in Grove Chapel cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Monday at the funeral home.
She was a member of Winterville Baptist Church and retired from Thomas Textile in 1987.
She was preceded in death by husband, Sherwood (Shep) and brothers Ed and George Nix.
She is survived by her children, J.V. "Jim"Ogle (Sheila) of Conyers, Charles Ogle (Jennifer) and Jack Ogle (Donna) of Winterville, Donald Ogle (Linda) of Greensboro, Mary Lou Moore of Winterville and Eleanor Wicker of Columbia, SC.
She is also survived by sisters, Flora Garrett, Kath Nell McDaniel, Louise Moon, Marie Covington and brother W.C. Nix, Numerous grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren and also a ex husband, Leroy Edwards.
The family would like to thank the staff of Whispering Pines Assisted Living and Quiet Oaks Health Care Center for their compassionate care they provided for our mother.
