Crawford - Mattie L. Ingram, 93 years of age, of Devils Pond Road and Quiet Oaks Nursing Home, Crawford, GA, died Saturday, May 21, 2005.
Daughter of the late Reverend B.T. and Nettie Davison Looney, she was a retired broiler grower, store owner and a former employee of Jefferson Mills in Crawford. She was a member of Edwards Baptist Church, Crawford. She was the oldest of 13 brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Ingram, Sr.
Survivors include a son, Sam Ingram, Jr. and wife Carol, granddaughters, Samantha Ingram Thomas and husband Kevin, Brittan Ayers and husband Leo Satara, a great-grandson Jonah Ingram, nieces, Ann Williams of Athens, Annie Lee Simmons of Elberton, Edna Arnold of Jefferson and Josephine McCannon of Crawford.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at 3:30 p.m. at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Crawford with the Reverend Jamie Doster officiating. Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held tonight from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
