Matthew James Palla, 26, of Athens, GA passed on February 27, 2022.

The son of Linda Whitestone Rose and Michael Palla Sr., and step-son of Marty Rose.  Matthew was born in Evansville, IN but spent most of his life in Athens.  He attended Clarke Central High School.  Matthew will be welcomed into heaven by his grandparents James and Barbara Whitestone and other family members.

Matthew is survived by his parents Marty and Linda Rose, father Michael Palla Sr., his sisters Lauren-Marie Palla (Darrell Floyd) and Ashley Palla,  his brother Michael Palla Jr., nieces Ryan-Ann, Rylee Kate, and Addilee, nephews Dylan James and Braden, his two loyal pups, Rosco and Simba, and several loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.

Matthew had a passion for animals, especially dogs and playing the drums.  He also had mad chef skills and loved riding his motorcycle on every curvy road he could find.

A celebration of life service will be conducted by Chaplain Jay Ragsdale on March 4, 2022 at 5 p.m. at Lord and Stephens East in Athens, GA.  The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on March 4, 2022 at Lord and Stephens East.
