Mary "Beth" Elizabeth (Thomas) Sosebee

Mary Elizabeth (Beth) Thomas Sosebee, 69, of High Shoals, GA died on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.

Born in Athens, GA, she was the daughter of the late H. Donald Thomas and Mary Neal Thomas and sister to the late Wade Thomas.

Beth received her master’s degree from the University of Georgia and taught elementary school at Social Circle Elementary School until her retirement. She was a lifelong member of High Shoals Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Bill Sosebee, son and daughter in law, Jake and Pamela Sosebee, sister, Robin Pannell, brother, Jeff (Starr) Thomas, sisters in law, Lavida (Charlie) Waters and Marilyn (Ted) Wilkes and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM at High Shoals Christian Church with her brother Rev. Jeff Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Thomas Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday at Lord and Stephens West Chapel.
