Mary Elizabeth Shelton, 86, died May 1, 2005.
A native and lifelong resident of Madison County, she was a daughter of the late Birdie Inez Martin and Thomas Jefferson Silver. She was the widow of Robert H. "Bob" Shelton and was also preceded in death by a sister, Sara Coffeen.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin-Silver Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughter, Sheila Shelton of Comer; sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Eugene McCannon; several beloved nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Rob Coffeen, Rex Coffeen, Gaines Harmon, Jr., Raymond Collins, Lamar Chandler and Mike Graham.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospice, PO Box 6588, Athens, GA 30604.
The Family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
