Mary Modlin Neikirk

Mary Modlin Neikirk, 77, of Bogart, passed away on March 19, 2023. She was born in Ocala, FL on January 30, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Bruce Modlin and Lula Boatwright Modlin.

Mary was married to the love of her life Terry Neikirk, for 53 years.  She loved spending time  with her family and friends.  Mary enjoyed shopping, playing tennis, golf and travel. She loved sports and was a die-hard Atlanta Braves and Florida Gators fan.

Mary was a graduate of the University of Florida. She worked as a schoolteacher in Dekalb County, Cannon Methodist Kindergarten and Gwinnett County.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Neikirk; children, Dan (Kelley) Neikirk, Robert Neikirk; grandchildren, Ryan and Rhett Neikirk, Kolby, Khloe and Jackson Neikirk; brother, Robert Modlin.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 12:00 PM in the chapel of Lord & Stephens West. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family requests that casual attire be worn.
