Mary Mann

Mary Ann Maynard Mann, 94, of Colbert, passed away on January 1, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Maynard and Levada Sikes.

Mary worked for different retail businesses in her early years including Sears but spent most of her working career at General Time/ Westclox. While working there she made lifelong friends she always enjoyed visiting with. As a member of Colbert Baptist Church, she really enjoyed the senior bus trips to various places including the annual trip in the fall to get fresh apples. Mary had a close relationship with her Sunday School class members and they were always helping when ever needed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Mann; daughter, Donna Sawyer.

Survivors include her children, Freda Rankin (Martin), Larry Mann (Wanda), Clayton Mann (Cindy); grandchildren, Michael Mann (Hope), Ryan Sawyer, Ben Sawyer; great grandchildren, Kit and Ruby Mann; siblings Nellie Johnson (Bob), Carlton Maynard (Catherine).

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Evergreen Memorial Park in Athens, Georgia, with Brad Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 3rd from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Lord & Stephens, Danielsville, at 963 Hwy 98 East Danielsville, GA 30633.
