Winterville - Mary Evans Loggins, 87, wife of the late Buford Loggins, died Sunday, June 3, 2007 at her residence.
Born in Banks County, she was the daughter of the late Fletcher and Elsie Payne Evans. She retried from Superior Pants Company, as a seamstress. Mary was of the Church of God Faith. She was also preceded in death by five grandchildren, in addition to her husband and parents.
Survivors include her sons and their spouses: Ernest and Shirley Loggins, of Winterville, Joe Loggins, of Athens, Jimmy and Linda Loggins, of Watkinsville, Woodroe Loggins, of Winterville, Alvin and Elaine Loggins, of Danielsville, Johnny Loggins, of Statham; daughters and their spouses: Bernice and Garnett Llewallyn, of Winterville, Bertie and Gerald Holmes, of Lexington, Louise and Glenn Seavers, of Athens, Cathy and Danny Wood, of Winterville; brothers: Alonzo Evans, of Bogart, Lloyd and Carolyn Evans, of Jefferson, Connie Evans, of Gulfport, Miss.; sisters: Viola and L.C. Strandridge, of Hartwell, Montine Davis, of Jefferson, Ethel Morgan, of Homer; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held 2PM, Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Lord & Stephens East Chapel with Rev. Gary Barnes officiating. Burial will be held at Athens Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held tonight from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
