Mary DeFoor Lambert

Mary DeFoor Lambert, 90, died on Thursday, December 20, 2023. Born in Hartwell, GA she was the daughter of the late Hubert Watson Lewis and Sallie Dooley Lewis. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Frank DeFoor and her second husband Clyde Lambert, Sr; son: Mike DeFoor and three siblings: Dot Mauldin, Tom Lewis and Larry Lewis. Mary was an active member of Forest Heights Baptist Church and retired as Vice President of Athens First Bank and Trust. She is survived by her son: Stacy (Krista) DeFoor; grandchildren: Megan (Andy) Haygood, Caleb (Nicole) DeFoor, Austin DeFoor, Hunter DeFoor, Micah DeFoor, Maddie (Austin) Sailors, Franklin DeFoor, Miley DeFoor and Carson DeFoor and 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 11AM at Lord and Stephens West Chapel. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 on Friday, December 22, 2023 at the funeral home.
