Mary Lou Hayes

Mary Lou Hayes, 89, died Friday, September 31, 2012.
A native of Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late James and Myrtle Durham. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Perry T. Hayes, son, James Perry Hayes, step brother, Blake Durham and sister in law, Georgia Nancy Frae Hayes Millman. Mrs. Hayes was a member of Antioch Christian Church, enjoyed cooking for others and was an avid gardener. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.
Survivors include her children: David and Jennie Hayes, John and Debra Hayes, Mary Ann and Doyle Elder, Nancy and Ricky Ray; daughter in law: Lisa Hayes; 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 11AM at Antioch Christian Church with Rev. Scott Bartholomew officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Monday, September 3, 2012 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Antioch Christian Church.
