Lexington - Mary Ware Harrison, 73, wife of the late Vernon Paul Harrison, Sr., died Monday, January 16, 2006.
Born in Carnesville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Mary Anne Cole Ware. She retired from Oglethorpe Elementary School where she worked in the lunchroom. She was a member of Lighthouse Evangelical United Methodist Church, the Womenís Auxiliary VFW Post in Lexington, and volunteered at Quiet Oaks.
Survivors include her children and their spouses; Larry and Priscilla Harrison of Athens, Tim and Rebecca Harrison of Franklin Springs, GA, Libby and Ricky Haley of Lexington, step children and their spouses; Paul and Connie Harrison of Charleston, SC, Joan and Rick Borges of Bradenton , FL, sisters; Eva Vaught of Chicago, IL, Sarah Hollensed of Hattiesburg, MS, Martha Gilreth of Chesapeake, VA, Icie Gipson of Anderson, SC, grandchildren, Jennifer Griffiths, Jill Kort, Brent Haley, J.C. Haley, Shannon Borges, Drew Borges, Michelle Estreda, Courtney Harrison, Lucy Harrison and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 19, 2006 at Lighthouse Evangelical United Methodist Church with Revs. Howard Ledford and Donny Morgan officiating. Burial will be held at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
Flowers will be accepted.
