Mary Lucille Guest, 71, of Athens died Friday August 22, 2014. Born to the late Zeb and Lucille Bell Middleton. Mary is also preceded in death by husband, Plumer Guest Jr., brothers Carl Grimes and Bobby Fitz, and sister Betty Bradley.
She is survived by children; Zeb Milton Guest (Cathy) of Crawford, Gwendolyn Guest Mize (Greg), of Jefferson, Allison Guest Singleton (Ron), of Pensacola FL, sisters; Reba Bell and Dottie Smith, both of Elberton, sisters in law; Nora Grimes, Phyliss Thomas, Betty Palmer, Ruth Guest, and Lynda Guest, grandchildren; Hannah Guest, Colton Guest, Ansley Garner, and Katherine Garner, great grandchildren; Elizabeth Ruiz and Eliza Guest, along with several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, August 24, at 3:00 PM at Lord and Stephens, East Chapel with Rev. Jack McVeigh officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park immediately following the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, August 23 from 5-7PM.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Silverleaf of Athens PO Box 1110 Jefferson GA 30549 or to the Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter.
