Mary Frances Mathews, 70, died Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Silverleaf Assisted Living Home.
A 1958 graduate of Oglethorpe County High School, Ms. Mathews retired from the University of Georgia Bookstore and worked ten years with the Athens Tech Bookstore. She was a member of the Lexington Baptist Church and was a devoted sister and aunt.
Survivors include two sisters, Syble Smith of Carlton, GA and Rita Manning of Conyers, GA; brother, Wallace Mathews of Lawrenceville, GA; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christian City Home for Children, 7345 Red Oak Road, Union City, GA 30291.
