Hull, GA - Mary Brooks Elrod, 79, died January 1, 2007.
Born in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Omer and Adlaide Bailey Brooks and widow of Hoyt Elrod. She was a member of Hull Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 4, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Hull Baptist Church with Revs. Randy Crowe and Mitchell Brooks officiating. Interment will be in the Hull Baptist Church Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Ruth Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her daughters and sons in law, Rachel and Curtis Anderson and June and Buddy Logan of Hull; sisters Sara Davison of Royston and Jeanette McCurry of Ellijay; brothers, Charles Brooks of Williamston, SC and Benjamin Brooks of Mauldin, SC; 4 grandchildren, Kim Darwin, Kellie Jones, Kristi Logan and Jennifer Butler and 5 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Donations may be made to St. Mary's Hospice, 1230 Baxter Street, Athens GA 30606.
Lord and Stephens, EAST is in charge of arrangements.
