Mary Lois (Sturdivant) Dover

Mary L. Dover, 93, wife of the late John Ed Dover, died Thursday, August 18, 2022. Born in Jemison, AL, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Sturdivant and Myrtie Lee Jones Sturdivant and grandmother to the late Sumer Pickens. She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother that adored her great grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters: Patsy (Don) Waldroup of Lexington and Tammy Jo Scoggins of Athens; sister: Lola Pearl Fuerstenburg of Kenosha, WI; four grandchildren:  Scottie (Amber), Andy (Nicki), Casey (Kristi) and Dustin (Melissa) and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 21, 2022 at 2PM at Lord and Stephens East Chapel. Interment will follow at Sandy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
