Mary Jean Smith Bray born November 7, 1929 went home to be with the Lord October 27, 2011.
She was the daughter of the late Billups and Hattie Lou Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband Roy Lee Bray, sons Roy Lee (Junior) Bray, Tommy Bray, sisters Nellie Elizabeth Smith, Rose Ward, Grace Allen, Lovella Smith, brother Frank Smith, granddaughter Brenda Bray, great grandson Jordon Stamey. She had worked at The Bread Basket as the Deli Manager.
She is survived by her children Kenneth (Luci) Bray of Hull,Ga., Ruth (Kenneth) Meadow of Colbert, Ga. Sisters Lorrine Privette, Ann Laura (Alan) Scott, brother Edwin (Frances) Smith. Grandchildren Royce Bray, Talmadge Stamey, Donna Bray Davis, Tommy Bray, Selina Bray, Connie Barber, Kendra Bray, Nick Bray, Amanda McDougald, Miranda Bray, Caitlin Bray, Lhea Minish, Jarred Meadow, Shea Meadow, 23 great grandchildren, host of nieces and nephews and special friend Frank Duncan. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Connie Barber.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 2PM at Lord and Stephens Danielsville Chapel with Rev. Douglas Lee officiating.
Pallbearers will be Gary Smith, Frank Ward, Ronnie Steed, Randy Michael, David Scott and Wesley Anglin. Burial will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, Ila, GA. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9, Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the funeral home.
