Mary Lucy Bonfim

Mary Lucy Bonfim, 78, of Bogart, Georgia was welcomed into the arms of her Savior on December 23, 2020.  She was the only daughter of the late Benecio and Angelina Pereira of Juiz de Fora, Brazil.  She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, the Reverend Rick Bonfim; her three children, Rick H. Bonfim (Laura), Sammy K. Bonfim (Cindy), and Sandy Iannarone (Tom); and her eight grandchildren, Mary Jayne, Harrison, Lucy, Sophie and Anna Kraft Bonfim as well as Noah, Owen and Hope Iannarone.  She is also survived by her brother, Benecio Pereira and his wife, Vera.

Mary Lucy was a friend to all who would welcome her and a selfless wife, mother and grandmother.  She loved Jesus with all her heart, faithfully and quietly serving Him in all things.  She spent many years on the sidelines of every soccer field in Georgia cheering on her children.  She traveled frequently with her husband, supporting him and praying behind the scenes.  Her favorite event each year was a Christmas party that she planned to serve the underprivileged families of the Mission in Brazil.  She also loved shopping at Talbots, watching “Wheel of Fortune”, eating Chick-Fil-A and Sunshine Chicken Salad from Rafferty’s and watching her beloved Georgia Bulldogs play.

Mary Lucy fought the good fight, she finished the race, she kept the faith.  (2 Timothy 4:7)

The family will have a private graveside service.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Mary Lucy to the Daniel Bomfim Mission Feeding Program in Brazil.
