Mary Ann Blickenderfer passed away May 21, 2014 at her home in Athens, GA after a long battle with cancer. Mary Ann was born in Allentown, PA and married to Lowell Blickenderfer born in Pittsburgh, PA. Together for over twenty wonderful years!
She is survived by daughters and their families: Lynn and Scott Montgomery and family of Yorktown VA, Tammy and Andy Beare and family of Covington, GA, Becky and Jared and family of St Louis, MO and son, Scot Blickenderfer of Stockbridge, GA; brother and family: Mike and Tina Graul of Takoma Park, MD; and a host of other loving family members including grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mary Ann was proceeded in death by her parents of Clearwater Beach, FL: Robert E. and Betty P. Graul.
She graduated Schuylkill Valley High School in Leesport PA held a number of retail positions in New York City, Chicago, Il, Washington DC and St Louis, MO including Military Sales Rep, Store Manager, Fashion Coordinator and Buyer of Giftware, Men's, Children's and Women's Wear.
Mary Ann's enjoyments included arts and crafts, decorating her home, preparing dinner for and entertaining friends. She spent many rewarding and relaxing hours maintaining the flowers in her front yard garden. While many don't know it yet, she will be missed by many Athens Eastside children who came every Halloween for the front porch presentation, the scary music, dancing under the strobe lights and to take a picture with the Witch providing the treats.
Mary Ann's wishes include her ashes be spread in the ocean at what became a very dear and favorite place to her.
