Athens - Mrs. Mary Carlisle Askew, 97, of Athens and formerly of Pine Mountain, Georgia, died Monday, July 3, 2006.
Funeral services were Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Pine Mountain, GA. Interment will be at the Pine Mountain cemetery.
Survivors include one sister, Marie Bowman of Woodbury, GA; two sons, Albert (Sally) Askew of Athens, Hoke Askew of Pine Mountain and Jane Outz Askew of Laurens, SC; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be received or memorials may be made to the building fund of First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 246, Pine Mountain, GA 31822.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, EAST, and Cox Funeral Home of Hamilton are in charge of arrangements.
