Winterville - Mary Frances Nunn Archer, 71, wife of the late John Edward Archer, died Saturday, December 30, 2006 at Winterville Assisted Living.
Born in Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Ruby Phillips Nunn. She was a retired nurse and served her country as a part of Navy WAVES.
Survivors include her son: Stephen Edward Archer of Crawford, GA; daughters: Rebecca Camp of Woodstock, GA, Deborah Powell of Iva, SC; sisters: Delores Chandler of Athens, Marie Buckman of Jonesboro, GA; brothers: David Nunn of Bogart, Jackie Nunn of Carlton, Herbert Nunn of Winterville; grandchildren: Christina Prather, Amanda Prather, Sarah Hameedi and Emily Walls.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at 2PM at Lord & Stephens East Chapel with Rev. Jerry Gray officiating and Mr. Smiley Powell delivering the eulogy. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. Pallbearers will be: Larry Daves, Moe Hameedi, Chris Chandler, Chip Chandler, Randy Archer, Bryan Archer, Mike Nash and Mark Prather. Burial will be held at Winterville Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Odyssey Hospice, 575 Research Dr., Athens, 30605.
