Danielsville, GA - Martha Dean Phillips, 71, died March 4, 2007.
A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Mary Dean, widow of Rufus Calvin Phillips and preceded in death by siblings, Bruner Dean, Candler Dean, Eugene (Gene) Dean, Mary Lou Fowler, Callie Dotson and Ruth Crooke. She was retired lunchroom manager with Danielsville Elementary School.
Survivors include 2 sons, Derek Phillips (Cathy) of Castle Rock, CO and Darrin Phillips of Danielsville; sister, Dorothy Lumsden and brother, Raymond Dean; grandchildren, Alisa Phillips, Ashley Phillips, Kelsey Shepard, Kyle Shepard and Michael Shepard.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, Danielsville with Rev. Albert Vaughn officiating. Interment will be in Danielsville Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Keith Dean, Kevin Dean, Laverne Watson, John O'Kelley, Dave King, Scott Peeples and Darrin Phillips.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospice House, 1660 Jennings Mill Road, Bogart, GA 30622.
