Martha B. (Bell) Marable

Martha B. Marable, 89, of Watkinsville, died Monday, April 4, 2016.
Born in Oglethorpe County, she was the daughter of the late Flanders Bell and Audrey Tiller Bell. Mrs. Marable was an active member of Antioch Christian Church, where she made a joyful noise as a member of the choir , taught Sunday School and was active in the Christian Women's Fellowship. She was previously active in the VFW Auxilliary and the Oconee County Farm Bureau.
Oh the joyous reunion she is having now that she is in Heaven. Her hands have served so many: her husband, her sons, her church, her grandchildren and her community. She has worked her garden, served many meals, wiped many tears and prayed many prayers with her hands. We celebrate the woman that God gave us to love for 89 years. We love you Mimi. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Harold Marable.
Survivors include two sons: H. Wayne Marable and his wife Kathy, and John Michael Marable and his wife Liz; four grandchildren: Brent (Mandy) Marable, Amy (Gary) Michael, Austin (Sally) Marable, and Noah Marable. ; and five great grandchildren: Maggie, Garrett, and Jacob Michael, and Jack Durham and John David Marable.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Antioch Christian Church with Rev. Scott Bartholomew officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 7 until 9 PM at the funeral home.
