Martha Mashburn Johnson

Martha "Martie" Mashburn Johnson, 74, of Winterville, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017.
Born in Athens, TN, she was a daughter of the late Bill Mashburn and Edith Carol Mashburn. Martie retired from Prince Avenue Christian School after teaching for over 15 years. She had a wonderful sense of humor and had a love for people and music.
Survivors include her husband, William "Joe" Johnson, of Winterville, GA; one daughter, Kim Kegel of Athens, GA; one sister, Jane Mashburn McBride of Henderson, NC; two grandchildren, Christine Kegel and Joey Kegel, both of Athens, GA; one niece, Amy Howie of Charlotte, NC and one nephew, Steven McBride of Asheville, NC.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 11:00 am at Athens Memory Gardens.
