Martha Juliette (Hawkins) Holton

Martha Juliette Holton, 85, died March 7, 2013.
A native of Athens, GA, she was a daughter of the late General Lee and Edith Mae Herring Hawkins. Mrs. Holton was also preceded in death by her brother, R. L. "Bobby" Hawkins and sister, Ann Hawkins Cooper.
Mrs. Holton was employed for many years with Hanna Manufacturing Company and retired from Athens Housing Authority. She was a faithful member of East Athens Baptist Church for most of her life.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST, with Rev. Ray Wuerzer and Chaplain Alex Stevens officiating. Interment will be in Oconee Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Ben J. Holton; three children, Terri (Don) Duncan of Watkinsville, GA, Skipper Holton of Athens, GA and Cheryl (Gary) Cain of Gainesville, GA; sister, Dorothy Costa (Bob) Dickens of Athens, GA; sister-in-law, Serena Hawkins of Athens, GA; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time.
