Martha J. (Thompson) Clawson

Athens, GA - Mrs. Martha J. Clawson, 79,vpassed away February 3, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Cullen and Lillie Mae Thompson. Mrs. Clawson was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Earl Clawson and three brothers, Elco, C.W. and Joe Thompson. Mrs. Clawson was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Green Acres Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Parrish officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6:00 until 8:00PM. Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
Survivors include four sisters, Lucille Morgan, Alena (Jerry) McRee, Nadine Bagley and Barbara Brewer and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Bagley, David McRee, Jeff Thompson, Will Jones, Ricky Thompson, Stanley Thompson, Matt Henderson, Jimmy Gyselinck, Drew Gyselinck and Chuck Marek. Honorary pallbearers will be the Open Fellowship Sunday School Class.
Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the Green Acres Baptist Church or St. Mary's Hospice House.
