Winterville - Martha D. Kelly White Bunn died Monday, October 13, 2008 in Winterville, Ga.
Born October 24, 1915 in Haleyville, Ala., the daughter of Henry Persons Kelly and Lillie May Alexander Kelly McConnell, she was predeceased by her first husband, Homer S. White Sr. and one son, Homer S. White Jr. of Augusta, Ga.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ralph C. Bunn, Winterville, Ga.; and three children, J. Frank White, Forest Park, Ga., Ellen White Nelson, Athens, Ga., Dianne Bunn Byrd, Smiths, Ala.; twelve grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She lived in Atlanta until 1985 when she and her husband moved to Athens. She was a longtime, active member of Mary Branan United Methodist Church in Atlanta and an active member of St. James United Methodist Church in Athens until her health began to fail in 2002.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, October 19 at 3 pm at St. James United Methodist Church, 111 West Lake Drive, Athens, conducted by the Reverend David Staton and his wife, Carol.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. James United Methodist Church.
