Marsha Dyer Brown, 70, of Danielsville, Georgia, passed away on January 16, 2025, in Athens, Georgia. Born on March 2, 1954, in Savannah, Georgia, Marsha spent her life bringing joy, love, and her spirited energy to everyone she encountered.
Preceded in death by her parents, Charles "Babe" Walter Dyer and Eunice Bryant Dyer, and her siblings George E. Dyer, Charles W. Dyer Jr., and Katherine M. Dyer Thompson, Marsha is survived by her loving husband and soulmate, William "Don" Brown. Together, they shared a life full of gardening, bird and deer watching, and creating cherished memories.
Marsha was a devoted mother to her daughters, Gina D. Cleveland (Rodney Jett) and Jennifer M. Phillips (Lamar), and a proud grandmother to Brittany McLendon (Kyle), Jenna M. Phillips, and William M. Phillips. She was also blessed to be a great-grandmother to Madison and Makenzie McLendon.
Known for her unfiltered honesty and sharp wit, Marsha’s personality was as vibrant as the sparkle in her green eyes. Yet behind her bold exterior lay a deeply compassionate heart. She never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those in need, showing time and again that her love for others was boundless.
Over the years, Marsha worked diligently in several roles, including her time at Waffle House and later at Subway, where she made lasting connections. After retiring, she embraced the simple joys of life, relishing time spent with her family and never missing a milestone or celebration. Whether it was a birthday party, a school event, or a baseball game, Marsha was always there, cheering her family on with pride.
Marsha leaves behind a legacy of hard work, resilience, and a love that will remain unmatched. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her but will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
