Mark Steven Powell

Mark S. Powell, age 59, loving husband, caring dad, and a proud Marine Veteran, died Tuesday, October 9, 2012.
A native of LaPorte, IN, he was the son of Kenneth Raymond and Sharon Wray Powell of Jonesboro, IN. His survivors, in addition to his wife Lee, include his children: Chad, Yvonne, Colleen Janette; his step-children: Jennifer, Robert, Lisa; 4 sisters; 3 brothers; 13 grandchildren; and his devoted side companion, Quincy.
Mark was a dedicated and hard-working diesel mechanic for Estes Express Lines in Athens, GA.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 4PM at Oconee Veterans Park, Watkinsville, GA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Northeast Georgia Cancer Care, LLC in Athens, GA.
In loving memory of a wonderful husband who will be terribly missed. One day I will be with you when the Lord calls me home too and we will walk together hand in hand with our blessed Savior.
