Mark Edward Kane II, cherished and beloved husband, father, son and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at the age of 57.
Born in Orange, California, where his father was stationed in the Marine Corp, he was a son of Linda C. Kane and the late Mark Edward Kane. Mark was a Veteran of the United States Navy having served with honor in both Desert Storm and Desert Shield. He was a certified chef and previously co-owned a restaurant in the Florida Keys. After a truly “Born Again” experience, Mark entered into a ministry that would prove to touch the lives of many people. He felt strongly that he should never receive money for God’s work, and he gave his time, fierce effort and devotion freely to people who needed God’s touch. He believed in people long after others had given up on them. Mark had a true heart of gold and a deep love for others.
He also served as the coordinator for numerous Georgia counties for the National Day of Prayer. He will be deeply missed. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Kane; grandmothers, Carrol John and Rose Mary Kane and grandfather, Morry Kane.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife of 23 years, Donna Kane; daughter, Georgia Grace Kane; grandparents, Edward and Henny John; aunt, Donna VanJahnke (Victor); uncle, Bobby John; nephew, Michael Kane and a host of other beloved family members and friends.
Memorial services for Mark will be Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 5:00p.m. at the City of Comer Travel Museum.
