Winterville - Marjorie Hayes, 87, died May 19, 2006.
A native of Greene County, GA, she was a daughter of the late George and Ruby King Culber. She was retired from General Time after many years. Mrs. Hayes was a member of Winterville First Baptist Church for over 40 years, where she was active in the Friendship Sunday School Class and Adult Choir.
Funeral services will be Sunday, May 21, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. at Winterville First Baptist Church with Rev. Shane Moore officiating. Interment will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
Survivors include her husband, Charlie J. Hayes, Sr.; two sons, Charlie J. Hayes, Jr. and wife Charlene of Fayetteville, GA, and Terrell Hayes and wife Sharon of Winterville; brother, Louie Culber of Winterville; grandchildren, Angelia and Brian Clark, Kimberley Hayes, Amy and Shane Moore, and Lori and Scott Cochran; six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Scott Cochran, Joe Gene Hayes, Tim Hayes, Luther Oliver, Jr., Mike Thrasher. Mark Shealy, David Ferguson, and Douglas Hemphill, Jr.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Winterville First Baptist Church Building Fund, 305 North Church Street, Winterville, GA 30683.
