Marion Osborne (Osborne) Porterfield

Marion Osborne Porterfield, 73, died December 5, 2013.
A native and lifelong resident of Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Bobbie Irene Ashe Osborne. For a number of years, Mrs. Porterfield was a loan officer with Oconee State Bank and later was Chief Operating Officer with Oconee Pinestraw, dba Porterfield Landscaping until her retirement. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Porterfield; children, Sheri Lynn Porterfield Veale (Kelly) of Bishop, Amy Elizabeth Porterfield of Bishop, Robin Leona Porterfield of Athens and Dana Ann Porterfield Loyd of Watkinsville; grandchildren, Bobby Guy Loyd and Nicholas Mark Loyd of Watkinsville. Also survived by a nephew, Tracy Lanier Carroll of Bogart, who was raised in the home following his mother's death; sisters, Edna Knott Meeler of Bogart and Vanza Lou Henderson of Palmetto; brother, Benjamin Grady Osborne of Cumming.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Memorial services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
