Marion Wilson Mills Jr

Marion Wilson Mills, Jr., died Monday, November 17, 2014 at his residence.
A native of Gainesville, GA, he was the son of the late Marion Wilson Mills, Sr. and Lillie Mae Satterfield. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ann Perry Mills, second wife, Sue Parks Mills, siblings, Daisy Adin, Roy Mills and Lewis Mills. He served in the US Navy during WWII receiving the Purple Heart among other metals, was a member of The Legion of Honor in France. Mr. Mills was a longtime employee with P & M. Army Store and was a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include his children: Stanley (Cindy) Mills of Fernandina Beach, FL, Kathy (Tony) Anthony of Sandersville, GA; sister: Charlotte Burkes of Los Vegas, NV; grandchildren: Erin (Paul) Wasson, Stephanie (Timothy) May, Kristen (Jeremy) Moore, Gabriel Mills, Samuel Mills, Luke Mills and Olivia Mills; great grandchildren: R.T. Hall, Anthony Hall, Emily Wasson, Maddy Grace May, Wilson "Mack" May, McKenna Kate May, Mollie Moore, Mallory Moore and Meredith Moore; brothers in law: Robert Perry, Lamar Perry, L.G. Perry; sisters in law: Martha Black, Grace Robertson and Shirley Perry and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Today, Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 2PM at Lord & Stephens West Chapel with Rev. Bill Ricketts officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Prince Avenue Baptist Church.
