Marion Henry Harris

Marion Henry Harris, age 90, of Monroe, GA, died Wednesday, November 18, 2015. A native of Atlanta, he was the son of the late James Scott Harris and Bessie Vera Simpson Harris. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Evelyn Anne Thomas Harris and a daughter, Suzanne Harris Awbrey. Mr. Harris was the former President and CEO of Tucker Door & Trim since 1975 and has been in the industry for 70 years. He is survived by three sons: Matt (Theresa) Harris of Good Hope, GA; Steve (Cecelia) Harris of St. George Island, FL; Scott (Susan) Harris of Flowery Branch, GA; ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren along with a vast array of close friends and extended family including caregivers, Christine Hinds and Yvonne Clarke. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 23, 2015 at 2:30 PM at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 850 Mt. Vernon Highway NW, Sandy Springs, GA 30327 with burial to immediately follow at Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 21, 2015 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Lord & Stephens West Chapel, 1211 Jimmy Daniel Road, Watkinsville, GA 30677. Lord & Stephens West is in charge of the arrangements.
