Maria "Charo" Pozo-Hurtado

Charo Pozo-Hurtado, 47, of Lima, Per&uacute, passed away Monday, September 19, 2016.
Born in Lima, she was the daughter of the late René Pozo-Vildoso and Consuelo Hurtado-Roque. Mrs. Pozo-Hurtado loved teaching and helping others, but most of all, she loved her family profoundly.
Survivors include her husband, Jorge García-Granados; two children, Valeria García-Pozo and Daniel García-Pozo; her mother, Consuelo Hurtado-Roque; her brother René Pozo-Hurtado and her sister Mary Smith, and her close nephews and nieces; Francisco Larriega-Pozo, José Miguel Larriega-Pozo, Renato Pozo-López, Jasmin Pozo-Morán, and Giulia Kuada.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 10:00 am at the UGA Catholic Center in Athens with Fr. John Coughlin officiating. Interment will follow at 12:15 pm at Athens Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, September 23, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
