Athens, GA - Margie Lee Jones, 93, passed away May 6, 2008.
A native of Madison County, GA, she lived most of her life in this area. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Beulah Chandler Holcomb and her husband, Clinton H. Jones. She will be remembered as a faithful Christian, loving mother and grandmother.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 8, 2008, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST, with Rev. Bill Ricketts officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry G. (Anne) Jones and David W. (Karen) Jones, all of Athens; brother, James "Jake" Holcomb of Athens; five grandchildren, Kathy Thompson, Charles D. Jones, Chris D. Wujcik, Shani Howard, and Marnie Yeomans; eleven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
