Margaret Ellen Sarosdy Sullivan, “Maggie”, age 64, passed away on March 11, 2023 at home in Oglethorpe County, Georgia.

She was the wife of Albert C. Sullivan, Jr. They shared 28 years together. Born March 8, 1959, in Carmel, California, she was the daughter of Rear Admiral Louis Robert Sarosdy and Mary Francis Pryor Sarosdy. She graduated in 1981 with a degree in education from Florida State University. For 18 years, she was the owner and operator of Maggie~Nificent Gardens, a flower scaping business specializing in perennials, annuals, herbs and edibles. She enjoyed all types of gardening, as well as pottery, knitting and hand crafts. She enjoyed being in the outdoors learning about nature and collecting plants. She was an avid fisherwoman since childhood. She will be remembered for her outgoing personality, her strong will and her big heart.

She is survived by Albert C. Sullivan, Jr. (husband), Lawrence Robert Sarosdy (brother), Anne Elizabeth Sarosdy Yarbrough (sister), Amy Katherine Sarosdy (sister) and Maxwell Duncan Sarosdy (nephew). She was predeceased by Rear Admiral Louis Robert Sarosdy (father) and Mary Francis Pryor Sarosdy (mother). The memorial service for immediate family will be held at a later date. A special thank you is given to her personal caregivers, Mary Stembridge and Mary Armstrong and to the staff of Family Hospice, LLC. Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by mail at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
