Crawford - Margaret Anne Smith, 65, died Saturday, January 3, 2009.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 2PM at Greenlawn Cemetery, Union Point with Rev. David Burt officiating.
Born in Greene County, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Mary Alice Echols Allen and preceded in death by a brother, Gary Clyde Allen. She was a member of Millstone Baptist Church and retired from Oglethorpe County Schools as a Teachers Aid after 15 years.
Survivors include her daughter: Dawn (Ed) Vaughan of Colbert; sons: Jeff (Kim) Smith of Vesta, Jon Smith of Crawford; brother: J.T. (Jenny)Allen of Cornelia; sisters: Barbara (Raymond) Roberts of Eatonton, Donna (Johnny) Callaway of Union Point; grandchildren: Marci Smith, Justin , Ashley Smith and Alyssa Kellerson; great granddaughter: Maggie Lou Anne Smith.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2009 from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Millstone Baptist Church.
Lord & Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
