Margaret M. (McGilliard) Hegge

Margaret M. Hegge, 85, wife of 47 years to Robert I. Hegge, died Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Quiet Oaks Nursing Home. Born in Statesboro, GA she was the daughter of the late Charles Oscar McGalliard and Tressie Wilson McGalliard and mother of the late Michelle Walker. She was a hard worker for Sky City, Sears, seamstress for the public and also for Bulldog Sporting Goods. Survivors in addition to her husband include her children: Bobby Hegge of Athens, Joy (George) Barrett of Holly Springs, NC and Granger (Connie) Smith of Commerce; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 11AM at Lord & Stephens East chapel. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at the funeral home.
