Winterville - Margaret Rebecca Hanley, 75, wife of Homer Wallace Hanley, died April 6, 2007 at her residence.
Born in Fulton County, she was the daughter of the late Luther Lonzo and Fannie Lizzie Reid Spratling. She retired from the University of Georgia.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by children: Roy Terry Bailey, Jr., Rebecca Marie Young; step children: Connie Yvonne Ezell, Pamela Denise Murphy, Vickie Evans; half sister: Billie Frost; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 9, 2007 at 11AM at Winterville First Baptist Church with Revs. Jim Akins and Palmer Rehberg officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, April 8, 2007 from 5 to 9 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Athens Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Terrell Bailey, Stephen Bailey, Jason Murphy, Todd Murphy, Herbert Nunn and Pete Bray. Honorary pallbearers will be the Joy Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Winterville First Baptist Church.
