Born in Savannah, she was the daughter of the late Mitchell and Julia White Harvey and widow of Richard C. Brown. She made her home in Savannah until she moved to Athens in 1985. Mrs. Brown was retired from Chatham County School System.
Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Anna and Earl Bumgardner of Savannah; niece and nephew-in-law, Margaret and Michael Hale of Watkinsville; great nephew, Brad Hale and great niece, Beth Hale of Watkinsville; nephews, Earl Bumgardner and family, Edward Bumgardner and family and Thomas Bumgardner and family, all of Savannah; nieces, Mary Smith and family of Bethel Park, PA and Patricia Sevier and family of Savannah.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at 2:00 PM at the Catholic Cemetery, Savannah.
The family will receive friends at the home of Margaret and Michael Hale, 1901 Salem Road, Watkinsville, Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Lord and Stephens, WEST is in charge of arrangements.
