Marcelle Mattie (Benton) Burdette

Marcelle B. Burdette, 88, died Monday, March 25, 2013.
A native of Mount Hope, AL, she was the daughter of the late Abb Pitman Benton and Emma Franklin Benton. She retired from Reliance Electric and was a charter member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons: Gerry (Deborah) Burdette of Athens, Michael Burdette of Eatonton; sister: Lillian Sanders of Athens; brother: Robert C. Benton of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 1PM at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Quiet Oaks Nursing Home.
Lord & Stephens East is in charge of arrangements.
