Mamie Gertrude "Trudy" Jones

Mamie "Trudy" Jones, 79, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016.
A lifelong resident of Lexington, Mrs. Jones was the daughter of the late Ralph Norman and Xavier Dudley Norman. Mrs. Jones was a member of Pentecost Chapel Church and Lexington Church of God, where she was in the choir, played the piano and was active with the Bus Ministry. She enjoyed working with the Oglethorpe County Prison Ministry and also the Oglethorpe County Food Bank. Most importantly, Mrs. Jones was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her Lord Jesus. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband: Roger Royce Adams and her second husband: Herb Harbin.
Survivors include her husband: William Thomas Jones; four children: Royce Adams, Randy Lee Adams, Tammy Renee Thornton and Ray Anthony Adams; three siblings: Lee Norman, Virginia O'Kelley and Jack Norman; six grandchildren: Jennifer Westlake, Heather Adams, Alex Adams, Talan Adams, Joshua Thornton and Jessica Thornton and two great-grandchildren: Temperance Westlake and Emma-Rae Westlake.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 21, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Pentecost Chapel Church with Rev. Nathan Palmer, Rev. Matt Rouse, and Rev. James Gunn officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 4 until 6 PM at the funeral home.
