Carlton, GA - Mable Jo Griffiths, 72, passed away Friday, March 09, 2007.
A native of Oglethorpe County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Binns and Mattie Selene Truitt Aycock. She was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Bethany Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Virgil Suttles will officiate.
Survivors include daughter and spouse, Gwyn and Dennis Cowart; son, Richard Allyn Griffiths, all of Carlton; sister, Mildred Taylor, grandchildren, Bridget Freeman of Danielsville, Brent Cowart of Carlton, Kayla Griffiths of Madison and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers include George Taylor, Scott Griffiths, David Taylor, Chad Freeman, Scott Aycock and Henry Aycock.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 thru 9:00 p.m. tonight at Oglethorpe Chapel, Crawford, GA.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 550 Pharr Road, Suite 550, Atlanta, GA 30305.
Family is at the home of Dennis & Gwyne Cowart, 4977 Hwy.72 East, Carlton GA.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
